More About Dr. Shay Bess

Beyond his extraordinary surgical career, Dr. Shay Bess anchors his life around his family.  He has been married for 26 years to the love of his life, Catherine Bess, with whom he shares a deep partnership built on shared experiences and adventure.  Catherine is a talented photographer, realtor, community volunteer, and interior designer who has been his steadfast rock from his days at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD through his demanding medical career today.  Together, they are the proud parents of one son, who currently attends Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona. Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Bess cherishes spending quality time with his family, whether they are golfing, traveling, hiking, or snuggling and playing with their two beloved doodle dogs, Champ and Rufus.
